We’re looking for a user researcher to join the Browser & Foundational Experiences team. In this role, you’ll lead research efforts to help define, explore and test experiences across Firefox desktop and mobile, working with product, design, engineering, and data science teams.

– Lead research efforts to help define, explore and test experiences across Firefox desktop and mobile, working with product, design, engineering, and data science teams.
– Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and influence product strategy and roadmaps, as well as to bring the voice of our users into decisions.
– Develop a strong understanding of user needs, behaviors, and motivations related to browser usage and other related areas, and share those insights broadly.
– Execute a wide range of research activities including qualitative and quantitative methods such as usability studies, in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, and competitive analysis.
– Lead research projects independently, from planning and recruitment to data analysis, synthesis, and presentation.
– Champion user research best practices and methodologies within the team and across the organization.
– Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
– Contribute to the broader research community through sharing insights, tools, and methodologies.
What you’ll bring:
– 5+ years of experience conducting user research for digital products.
– Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with expertise in various research methodologies.
– Proficiency in designing, conducting, and analyzing usability studies, interviews, surveys, and other research methods.
– Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate research findings to diverse audiences.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
– Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and design decisions through research insights.
– Experience working on browser or platform-level products is a plus.
– Experience working with diverse global user bases is a plus.
– Master’s or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
