Our client is looking for a Tech Lead Manager – Core UX to join their team.
They are building an operating system for commercial insurance. This company has built a proprietary AI underwriting platform that allows underwriters to evaluate and bind complex risks in minutes. The platform uses state-of-the-art machine learning models to help underwriters identify and select the best risks, price them competitively, and automate much of the manual underwriting workflow.
The company is seeking a Tech Lead Manager to join their Core UX team. As a Tech Lead Manager on the Core UX team, you will lead a team of talented engineers responsible for building intuitive and powerful user interfaces that empower underwriters to make better decisions faster.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Drive the technical strategy and roadmap for our Core UX products, ensuring alignment with overall product vision.
- Collaborate closely with product management and design to translate user needs into technical requirements and elegant solutions.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance, and user-centric web applications.
- Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to the overall system architecture and participate in cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards for the Core UX team.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Strong expertise in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and state management libraries.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build complex, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
- Deep understanding of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and security best practices.
- Experience with back-end technologies and API integrations is a plus.
- Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
