UI Engineer (L5) – Content & Business Products

Content Engineering builds experiences that enable us to deliver compelling content to our members around the world. We are looking for an experienced UI Engineer to help us build and innovate on applications and services for the Studio, Content, and Product teams. In this role, you will work on the next generation of products that empower our creative partners and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building performant, scalable, and delightful user experiences.

What you will do:

  • Architect, develop, and deploy front-end features for internal and external web applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user stories and designs into high-quality code.
  • Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from conception and design to deployment and operation.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, ensuring cross-browser and device compatibility.
  • Identify and advocate for improvements to the development process, tools, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, sharing knowledge and helping to maintain code quality.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Debug and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.

What we are looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered web applications.
  • Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue), with a preference for React.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and package managers (e.g., npm, yarn).
  • Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and isomorphic JavaScript applications.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility (a11y) and internationalization (i18n) best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • A passion for building intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
