We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Tax and Treasury to lead our global tax strategy, planning, and compliance, as well as oversee all treasury operations. This critical leadership role will report to the VP Finance and play a pivotal part in optimizing our financial structure and ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in global tax planning, compliance, and reporting, coupled with a strong background in treasury management within a multinational public company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global tax strategy, planning, and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, foreign exchange risk management, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and financial returns.
- Manage global tax provisions and disclosures for financial reporting purposes, collaborating closely with the accounting team.
- Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for mergers, acquisitions, and new business initiatives.
- Direct tax audits and disputes, engaging with external advisors and tax authorities as necessary.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory landscapes globally, assessing their impact on the company and developing proactive strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax and treasury team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to support business objectives.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place for tax and treasury processes.
- Support the VP Finance and CFO on various strategic financial initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred.
- CPA certification highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in tax and treasury roles, with at least 8 years in a leadership position within a multinational public company.
- Deep expertise in global tax planning, compliance, and reporting (ASC 740).
- Proven experience in treasury operations, including cash management, foreign exchange, and investments.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance principles and capital markets.
- Experience with transfer pricing strategies and international tax structures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and build strong relationships with external advisors and tax authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare technology industry is a plus.
