We’re seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our ML Platform Team. Our mission is to democratize ML across the organization, empowering product teams to build, deploy, and monitor ML models efficiently. The ML Platform supports a wide range of ML applications, including content recommendations, ads targeting, safety, and community health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the core infrastructure that powers machine learning in the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable ML infrastructure, tools, and services.
- Architect and build robust data pipelines for training and inference, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain libraries and frameworks that streamline the ML development lifecycle, from experimentation to production.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify ML opportunities and translate them into platform features.
- Drive best practices for MLOps, including model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and experimentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or a related role, with a focus on building scalable ML platforms and infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed computing technologies (e.g., Spark, Flink).
- Experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Bonus Points:
- Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale data processing systems and real-time inference.
- Contributions to open-source ML projects or relevant publications.
